One of the best things about Lake Norman is the beautiful WEATHER! If you like the outdoors as much as I do you will appreciate the long spring and fall and a very mild winter. If you want a winter experience travel just 1 1/2 to 2 hours to the mountains for skiing or snowboarding.

Birkdale Village

Birkdale Village is one of my favorite places to relax after a busy day at work! I like to stroll through the area, (I love the beautiful flowers and landscaping), have dinner in one of the many good restaurants with friends, or enjoy a movie at the theater.

Lake Norman State Park

Do you like to do a quick and easy hike? Try Lake Norman State Park at I-77 exit 42. (or you can take exit 36, go west on Rte. 150, north on Perth, and left on State Park Rd.). Spring is a beautiful time of the year in the park! The trails take you along the gentle rolling hills of the park with views of Lake Norman. There are also some moderately difficult biking trails. You will probably see a few deer! Take time for this, and enjoy our beautiful spring weather!

Housing market conditions

We hear every day in the news about the housing market. The one thing to remember is that the housing market is very localized. Although the Charlotte market is somewhat affected by sales in the rest of the country, our market has not had the dramatic drops in price experienced in Florida and Arizona. Even neighborhoods in areas around Charlotte have different fluctuations in pricing. You can use the neighborhood analyzer on my website to see the neighborhoods that interest you the most. People frequently tell me that are are going to wait until the market improves before they sell their home. The analysts do say that we are reaching the bottom of the housing market, and that there will be slow steady recovery. If you are planning on selling and then buying another home, remember that if the value of your home increases, your future purchase will also probably be increasing. If you sell your home now, it’s possible that you can pick your new home while there is still a large inventory of homes, and still get a good value on your new home.
